My favorite time of the day is when its time to eat! I love food and Furman has some pretty good options!
The DH always has variety. From pizza to home-style cooking, to Mongolian stir-fry, to soup and salad, and to dessert, there is always something to suit your craving. The best part about the DH is that with just one swipe on your ID Card you can always go back for more. And not to mention, the chocolate chip cookies are always a must on your way out the door.
The Pden is great when you are feeling some vendor food. The Pden has Chick-fil-a, Moe’s, Sweet n Savory (Creperie), and Maru (Asian rice bowls). There are even cold sandwiches and salads that are great to grab from the fridge when on the go. My personal go-to is Moe’s in which I get a burrito, a cheese quesadilla, or an infamous stack! The Pden does “meal exchanges” on certain meals, which is the equivalent to a DH swipe. Or they will charge the meal on points, which is allotted to each student at the beginning of the year.
The lib Café is my go-to for a quick bagel or coffee in between classes or when I need some brainpower during a long study session. The lib café even has smoothies and other baked goods. I love their Bacon Barnyard (bacon, egg, and cheese on your choice of bagel)!
Bread and Bowl:
This was a new addition to campus this year. It sits on top of the DH and offers unique salads and sandwiches. They have a really good black bean bowl! Just like the Pden they do “meal exchanges” and points.
No matter your cravings day-to-day, there is a great variety of food on campus!
