I know April just started but I wanted to look back on March aka Women’s Empowerment Month!! During March, Furman Panhellenic and Furman Center for Inclusive Communities planned many fun events on campus. There were scheduled events as well as tables outside of the library and Trone Student Center for all students to enjoy.

Let’s start with the big events: March 12: Panhellenic Movie Night where On the Basis of Sex was shown. This movie is about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her journey of changing gender discrimination in the courtroom. March 20: Resume Workshop with Malone Career Center. March 21: Intergenerational Women’s Roundtable with the Center for Inclusive Communities. March 27: Women’s Trivia at the Paddock. March 28: Yoga with Caroline Scudder. I personally really enjoyed this one. It was very relaxing outside at the amphitheater and Caroline did a great job with leading so many people!

Now for the Tabling: March 11 & 18: Letter writing to women who have empowered you (so sweet and such a fun, easy way to support women’s empowerment). March 13: Furman Friday: Women’s History Month kickoff outside of Trone. March 19: Women’s history trivia outside the library!
March was full of awesome Women’s Empowerment activities!! Can’t wait for next year!!
