Hey y’all it’s Tatum
The holiday season is rapidly approaching and I am here to share some easy ways to get your dorm room/ apartment into the holiday spirit!
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza there are easy ways to decorate your dorm room and to get into the holiday spirit in Greenville.
Visit the Biltmore! The Biltmore is in Asheville North Carolina, less than an hour drive away has amazing lights and will get you into the holiday spirit!
Candle Waxes! No candles are allowed in dorms so these scented candle waxes with no wicks are amazing! You get the same scent without the fire hazard! Mast General Store in downtown Greenville sells them!
Buy a small tree and add decorations. Walmart, Target, TJMaxx all sell inexpensive trees and ornaments that will transform an empty corner into a festive spot! You can even do a gift exchange on your hall and put the presents under your tree!
Twinkly LED lights will add a fresh new look to your apartment patio, or dorm window. When, or if, it snows you can illuminate your room to watch the snow fall at night.
Go to the Bookstore and use some palapoints to get your favorite Christmas drink! My favorite is the Caramel Creme Brûlée Latte.
Hanukkah on Main is the lighting of the Menorah in Downtown Greenville. This annual event starts Hanukkah off with a bang in downtown Greenville.
The Ice Skating Rink downtown is a way to get out and brave the cold and have fun during the month of December. This rink is family-friendly and serves hot cocoa and other warm snacks!
The Kwanza exposition in downtown Greenville displays the rich history of Kwanza and shows African traditions and Art to celebrate the culture of this holiday!
Overall there is a lot to do to get ready for the holiday season! Yes exams are before the holiday season commences but that doesn’t mean you can’t get started early!
Hope everyone has a happy holiday season!
